Right so As Nodt represents Fear with her Stern Ritter F, looks like Sereitei could do with some Green Lanterns to fight that mofo!!
I hope that's not the end of Byakuya now though, he's been one of my favourites so it'd be ashame to see him go out like this on the first battlefield.
That really sucked. I'm questioning though if he really did him in though (the small bit at the end didn't make it any better). And if he did, god help him if Zaraki ends up on the scene since he's always wanted to fight him and all (plus that whole feeling fear thing). But it might be one of those times where Renji ends up surpassing his captain by killing that guy too, so there's that.
It's just difficult to imagine such a character being killed off in such a way. I would've at least pictured him sacrificing himself to kill him too or something.

Firstly why am i not surprised that they did not show who the Opie raper was, typical Kubo. Make us wait god knows how long to find out . Next, someone on another forum guessed that As Nodts power would be fear. So she/he is a creepy sadistic type who loves to toy with their victim. I just am not sure about Byakuyas fate. If he really is done in for then that makes Nodt quite scary but i would not be surprised if he pulls through somehow. Maybe Renji will find his moment to shine at last. Now to wait for the next chapter.
Hopefully Renji steps up to kick As Nodt's ass. But let's not forget one important thing: we found out in this chapter that those Quincy medals do in fact "steal" a person's bankai, because on the last page it shows As Nodt using Zenbonzakura against Byakuya to deal (what I hope is not true) the final blow. Only question is has Renji improved enough to surpass his captain's bankai. On that note, I really am starting to like As Nodt. His/her ability to strike fear into opponents who normally fear nothing and paralyze them, seems to imply that he/she has the potential to kill off anyone in this entire series. Well, I dunno about Zaraki though; he doesn't get scared, he gets excited.

I suppose you're right (about his fate!), after some of the death blows given to some characters (90% everyone). But again (for my fanboyish dreams) it'd be fun to see AN go up against Zaraki (with Kuchiki on the sides or whatever).
Never saw that coming for Byakuya/Renji/Rukia - well not that way anyway, but OMFG Kenny!! What an entrance lol!! Hope we get Kenny vs Shiro Quincy next to let Ichigo get into Sereitei if his cage has/ever breaks.
Plus at least another war potential has been officially confirmed. Only Ichigo and Kenpachi have taken down Star Knight's without getting seriously wounded so that's 2 down, 3 to go!
Oh boy. It seems the Kuchiki siblings are down for the count. Or at least Byakuya is 'dead', apparently. And Renji's out too. And just when things were looking grim, we see good ol' Kenpachi walking in with a dead gorrilla-looking Quincy. Let's see how Zaraki does against the Quincy King until something else happens, like Ichigo shows up & whatnot.

lol cant believe while everyone is acting so desperate kenny takes down 2 of these guys ,kinda sad if byakuya is dead dead,renjis aizen training couldn't even help :p,whats the chances kenny even fights the main guy.
I'm guessing Kenny takes on Blondie and the next couple of chapters we'll see who killed Opie, we'll see Ichigo's cage break and a possible confrontation between Ichigo and Buckbeard, nothing major just a little chat - before the Star Knights retreat back to base.

Pretty wicked chapter. I honestly don't believe Byakuya's dead. His reiatsu must have temporarily vanished due to the injuries or something. No way Kubo would kill him off that easily. These Stern Ritter are truly badass, though. To take on someone like Byakuya Kuchiki and reduce him to a pulp like that, without much effort, it's really something. I really hope Kenpachi causes some havoc now, cause it'd be too damn hard if he also lost. And where the fuck is Yama-jin?
