as the anime goes on, its already 47+ episodes..and this just happens to the book 5+ on the manga...oda had said in volume 55 i think that one piece just on half of the stories...so the possibilty of the anime(storyline + filler) to reach 1000 episodes is there..what do you all think

One Piece's size was one of the reason why I dropped it!

Believe me, I actually hated One Piece for that reason for years, until this July when I watched episode 1, liked it, then some more and now I'm in the 80s and I love it. Give it another try (ignoring it's episode count) and you'll most likely get hooked.

To answer the question, normally I'd say it depends on it's fanbase but seeing
that Toei wants to go all the way, yes it will reach the 1000s.

you should just watch it first, neglect the number of episodes, i got lot of friends who i recommend one piece to them say that same word at first..however when they start watching it they just go non-stop and keep asking me for more episode..try it first...you'll never regret it..

I wanna give this anime a shoot so bad, but I just can't force my self, cuz if I start liking it I won't be able to resist it, and gonna catch on soon. And I hate when the anime isn't coming to an end soon, cuz I just hate watching from week to week episodes!

You could always do what I do (if it suits you I guess >.>) you could always go watch something else while waiting for the number of One Piece episodes you haven't watched go up (I usually wait for around 20 episodes to go watch the show again) or wait until an arc is over (or half over...whatever) then start watching it

I only watch Bleach, Naruto Shipuuden and now I started One Piece. And I do the same as you, I always wait until the arc finishes then I watch it.
Right now I'm downloading FMA: Brotherhood, as I heard it's better than the older version.

I LOVE the length of it, I wish it could reach 2000 or more...

I can't stand series that are too short and leave you wanting more... and since it just keeps getting better and better the farther it goes I just keep wanting to watch it longer and longer, even when it finally ends as all things must I'll still be going back and watching choice arcs.

My only hope is that when it ends, it ends well. With how awesome the series is the ending should at least leave the readers satisfied... not that it has to end with some massively epic battle or anything but just an ending that as I said leaves you satisfied... not sure really what other way to put it.

i can really see the ending which will be a full battle between world government and all the pirates on luffy sides which he commodore as the pirate king..

As of January 9, 2011 One Piece will have aired the 482nd Episode so how can you ask if it will reach its 1000th when it’s not even at 500 yet (half way) they is still 518 episodes until it hits the 1000th episode mark.

The question you should be asking is will Pokémon reach the 1000th episode mark, As of January 6, 2011 Pokémon will have aired 675 Episodes that’s only 325 away from 1000.

well i said that cause i refer to its manga, yes i know that pokemon will likely reach 1000 episodes cause i watch em too..but that is totally a different discussion...if u watch the anime you'll know that there are now on whitebeard vs marine arc which will just be a volume 50+ in manga..say if u read the manga you'll know in one of oda-sensei sbs he says that one piece just halfway to the end..so if the anime follows the manga till the end + all the upcoming fillers than most likely that one piece will reach 1000..

Hope it reaches and goes way over 1000 episodes!

I won't be surprised if it's 1500 or more episodes
