I still think that the task bar is ugly when compared to Vista's one. But I gotta say, I'm having a helluva lot less problems than the error-ridden Vista, and I only upgraded yesterday.

i happen to like the new taskbar & start menu options i didnt like the shutdown button going into hybernate this new feature allows you to custimize if you want it to hybernate or shut down.. but when i sign out of msn it likes to sign back in after an hr then i have to close the program completely....

I got Windows 7 Professional for £30 from Microsoft (Yay for being a student) and my impressions have been really good. Oddly enough I had more driver incompatibilities with Windows 7 than Windows Vista having to buy a new webcam and I can't get my USB Missile Launcher working, though that is because I upgraded to a 64 bit OS.

I did however have some major, major problems with XP and a minor problem with Vista. With no major problems with Windows 7 I can honestly say I'm very happy with Microsoft. And I can hardly complain for getting Win 7 Professional and Windows XP Professional for £30!

Well I’ve just Partitioned my HDD so that I have windows XP and Windows 7 installed, however not that I have done that I wont really be using XP any more there are two reasons for me doing this one is that I have a capture card installed on XP and don’t have the CD to install it on 7 anymore and the second is that my version of 7 is a pirate version and could give out at any given time.

From what I have seen and used of 7 I currently like, however I don’t really use the features like Snap, Shake, however I do use the multiple-desktop theme and Peek and I like the progress bar that shows the space used on the HDD, along with the Pin to taskbar.

have you tried going to your manufactures website and getting the driver software? i had to do that with my network printer. windows 7 didnt like the windows vista drivers, go figure, but everything else like my hub ,wireless mouse, and ehd i didnt have issues with.

I have had it for awhile now and so far I have had 2 REALLY annoying problems.

The first problem was the fact it wouldn't allow me to transfer any files from folder to folder.

I had to then start from scratch and re-install WIN7

Thats one problem ive never heard of. were your folder permissions all correct?

Well i started using it about 3 months before public release due to being part of MSDN (tertiary alliance software thingy) And i haven't had any problems that couldn't be solved from Google. + its a lot faster, smoother.

Yeah everything was fine it just decided to do it I found out it was a common Win7 Problem via the Windows forum, it was also a problem on vista but they created a patch for it but they havent created one for win7.

Shows how much attention i pay to the W7 forums lol. At least you got it fixed. Biggest let down for me was not being able to play Bioshock. It's about luck if it works on windows 7 64bit really. Works for my brother but not for me.
