Your manga colorization is amazing; I'm very impressed with your work, Aidan. This one really stood out to me, The lighting/shading looks amazing. The clip on her bag really looks like steel, the bag itself like leather, and her hair looks about as real as anime hair can look. I also really like the lighting in the general scene. Everything is professionally done, and pretty much perfect. Your latest Kira one has good lighting too, and the "I have no money" one as well. Not all your pages have that beautiful lighting though, some are pretty "flat". If it's not too much work, I recommend you work more with lighting, like you did with that one of Moka. It really enhances the effect and look of the page; makes it look more "alive". Again, great job Aidan.

Now that I think about it I think I have been neglecting the lighting. Through to be honest, that Moka one was nearly accidental. Sometimes when messing around with effects I get unexpected results. That was one of them. I think the reason that image turned out so well was because the author did such a great job drawing it. The next image I am working on is this one. http://www.mangafox.com/manga/history_s_strongest_disciple_kenichi/c356/10.htmlIt's going to take me a while as I am busy with college and whatnot but I will see if I can put more effort into the lighting. Oh, but I could colour this one if it interests you Moth. http://www.mangafox.com/manga/sora_no_otoshimono/v07/c030.6/12.htmlI was planning to colour it sometime....

I think the reason that image turned out so well was because the author did such a great job drawing it. Glad I could help. Haha, yeah, that does happen. Sometimes when you mix different effects, and add them on top of each other, the results can be very good... or interesting at the very least. Yes, the author drew Moka very well... but there was little to no lighting in the original picture, I would think... so that's credit to you. Actually, the lighting itself is what impressed me so much with that picture, so try and work on that. What I can say is that there is a light source coming from the top right corner, which is pretty easy to do, so at least incorporate that in your pages; though think of where light would most natually be coming from, that's quite important. Look if there are any shadows in the picture, as the light should be across from the shadow. There's more work in that Moka picture than just a directional light, but start with that simple light source in other pictures, and go from there. Becareful not to over do it with the light souce as well, so it won't look like a spot light is shining there. That one's going to be quite difficult to get the lighting right. There are light sources everywhere there. A big one to the left of the picture, and smaller ones around the lights on top. The artist shaded quite well though, so pay attention to that when placing light sources. That's a really cute picture... and she's not bad herself either, lol. I think that would be quite a pretty page colorized, but you don't have to do it for me. If you were planning to color it though, go for it. It should turn out well. If you want my advice on the lighting there, I think there should be a light source coming from the top left corner. Also, notice there is a reflection from the light on the plate. That part should look shiny.

I was going to keep writing what I am under my reply in the manga topic but that would have been off-topic. But lucky I found this topic.
I checked out your art page. Yeah you have really good skills, although I used the word "Inker" I was kind of incorrect for doing so. But when I look at the original page and compare it to yours it looks like you not only colored the page, but actually made the outlines more refined and stand out more which is basically the job of an Inker. I don't know if it was unintentional or my eyes deceiving me but it looked amazing. It reminded me of Giacoia (sliver age DC + 40s Marvel) a remarkable Inker, who would also sometimes color his own pages since Colorist where hard to find in that era. Your work looks like what I think his would if he was alive in this technological age. Although Inkers still partially use manual methods while Colorists need to be highly proficient in image editing software, you seem to at least have the talent for both paths.
If you pursue this professionally, good luck.

Damn, girl in second pic is scary as hell! Nice job, though. One of these fan manga translators need to kidnap - I mean, recruit you to their team.
But wait, a VN team has already employed your services... Think you can juggle jobs?
