Same here. Media Player Classic is just nice and simple, no fancy crap and the CCCP works with everything I've tried thus far.

I use VLC player. It's easy to use and has all the features I'll ever need. Plus with the exception of that crap format realmedia (rm and rmvb) I have yet to find anything it won't play.

Some people like KLite.. others like CCCP better..I guess it depends on the individual. Here's a quote from another forum: TRaSH wrote: K-Lite Mega Codec Pack = bad support, bad updates, slow support, slow update, outdated, installing to much not needed shit, don't do a shit when 1 of our series don't work anymore on it, NO SUPPORT FROM US EITHER
cccp = updated frequently, good support either from us or if there's a major problem from the guys off cccp them self, if a serie stops to work i just tell them and they try to fix it or come with a solution, they also got direct contact with the creators of haali media splitter and ffdshow, ONLY CODEC PACK WE GIVE SUPPORT ON

Ya I use wmpc with klite
I used to use VLC cause it was a great player, but it had this annoying habit of screwing with clips. Like say you wanted to watch a clip of something like a preview of a game. Normally it would download and come up on wmp, or if you were doing music it would come on on there, you go save to library and done.
But VLC would commender the damn clips and only play em on that player. I had to go into the options for firefox and reroute everything manually to wmp. But the hell didn't stop there. On some things it wouldn't even download for some reason. But I take VLC player of and wala everything downloads and works fine.
So I just use windows media player classic. Doesn't screw with shit, has all the codecs u'll ever really need to play anything, and what it doesn't have, real player does.

used to use MPC but recently switched back to VLC, mostly cos HD footage and mpc with my 4870x2 dont seem to be getting on atm, not using 1 of the cores but still sending the packets there so only getting 1/2 frame renders if you will
vlc happily ticks away in software mode so no issues with HD

I use BS.Player, the best player ever that even tells you what codec are u missing, and has easy-to-use-but-still-pro-interface http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSplayerWikipedia wrote: BS.Player made by the Slovenian software company Webteh is a media player for Windows OS, that plays back almost every type of multimedia files (including AVI, MPEG, Ogg, Matroska, ASF, QuickTime, MP4, WAV, mp3...) and specializes in video and audio playback.
BS.Player, like most media players, requires that the correct codecs and splitters are installed beforehand to play back formats that are not supported by default. It comes in three versions: FREE, PROlite and PRO. The latest version is 2.32. I use PRO.You can even get it from C-W[Tools] Bot
