What are your thoughts on the FUNImation dub?

If you are talking about the uncut version, I think they are doing a great job. The voices and the script PAWN over the 4Kids version. I personally get a different feeling when I watch the uncut version rather then the 4Kids version like Funimation put a lot of effort into making a quality dub.

I think they will although it probably won't be put in that context.

luffy sounds like a moron (laughs are a big thing in one piece and funi luffy's laugh is horrible)
zoro is okay
sanji was murdered (he sounds like a total tool)
nami is alright
robin is good
chopper is good
crocodile is horrible
buggy is horrible
ace is wow just please stop
mihawk is unfortunate
shanks is disgusting

the script is great though. its what you expect from funimation they tried there very best to stay true to form. although the Japanese script has jokes/phrases that are hard to translate. therefore the Japanese script seems much more amusing at times.

while 4kids did do a horrible job with the edits/script, the voices were much better then these new idiots. it's just hard for some people to realize since they associate the voices/script/and edits into one thing rather then 3 different aspects.

How many are the Total episodes Dubbed by Funimation?

they've released eps 1-116 on dvd but i think they've dubbed over 200....cause i remember them airing the Skypia arc here a year or so ago

well i think the dub is great not that i saw the jap version to compare but i haven't watched any thing else so i can say anything except Funi dub is great

The only thing I don't like about the dub is probably Luffy's Voice because he sounds like he is straining to sound like a man lol (and his laugh sounds really bad)

Although Luffy's Voice is tolerable

Ditto! luffy's voice is kinda like he's having a sore throat but hey its not that different from the 4kids version so yeah its bearable for me since i started out as dub! lol
