Does Funimation have any intentions of releasing episodes 206-onwards? I'm thinking of starting this show, but if the dub won't progress any further, might as well watch it all subbed. If there's one thing I hate about anime is switching languages midway through.

They probably will, but it will take forever. Also if you do try watching it, you might want to give it a shot until episode 45. If you still like it from that point, you'll probably enjoy the proceeding arcs; if you don't, you might find the rest tedious.

I'd just go with the subbed version, but it's your choice of course.

If you'd have read release dates, the new episodes come out next month.
Though in 12 to 13 episode sets every like 2 months.
They've also only licensed up to 263, thus you can expect another long wait after that point.

Well, I downloaded the first 45 episodes by Funimation. If I end up liking the show and continue watching it, I guess I'll eventually switch to subs.

You'll enjoy it. Subs are very worth watching. Give it a chance and you'll get hooked. Most who say they dislike One Piece only have watched 4kids' production of One Piece and not FUNimation's. A huge difference to say the least.

One Piece story line is unpredictable not the same as Bleach and Naruto....
