Neon Genesis Evangelion

Ok alot of people have mixed feeling about this show. Some say its the best ever, some say it sucks ass.

I lean more towards the ladder. The show started out good, an interesting plot, wondering what was gonna happen next. But then this evil depressing feeling slowly creeps over you little by little.

Soon you start feeling depressed just watching the series. The characters start out bright but then little by little fall deeper and darker into this whole sad world. The plot follows with them, falling and falling until you almost just want to cut yourself to see if you still have and emotion left or if you really have become an emo.

The story revolves around a boy, the son of the director of this special force group that combats these aliens that once destroyed most of the world. Though if you could even call him a father is up to you. The boy is made to fight on and on, slowly sort of going insane inside his own mind. And as the plot grows, it just gets darker, to the point your almost disgusted with the whole thing.

The ending isn't much better. It takes 1 hell of a bad ending for a writer to get that many death threats, and let me tell you this series and the crap movies they made for an ending definitely fit the bill for death threats.

In the end you'll probably be like.... what the f%&*!!! I endured mental anguish for that shit?

2.8 But that's just me, if you like being extremely depressed, and having getting inside the mindset of a person who contemplates suicide, well be my guest. Just keep glass away from you.

Martian successor nadesco
Kind of an older style of artwork anime. Basically about this age old way of humans against this alian race that actually look just like humans that no one can even remember how it started.

Trickery, deceit, and goofiness surround the crew of the greatest ship the earth has to command as they fight on through the war that never ends. And our main character, a cook who hates to fight stands aboard the ship cooking for pay, eventually being forced to operate a mecha and fight.

Eventually we learn just what makes him so special, and the secrets that surround the others of what happened to him in the past.

It was an ok series. Not the best plot or acting, but still ok. The movie summed up what the series left unanswered at the end. 7.0

Love hina
A great harem about a boy trying to get into tokyo U but repeatedly failing, ends up coming to his grandmothers dorm/bath to run it as a manager. However it is an all girls place, and the girls are less then thrilled to find a guy walking in on them. One even tries to kill him right off.

And so the screwy day to day life begins, of the apartment building with each girl growing fond of him in some way, all the while he works toward getting into tokyo U to keep a promise he made to a girl many years ago.

I really enjoyed this harem alot. 9.5

Love hina again
The continuation of love hina. However it only has maybe 4 episodes I think. The series ended abruptly never really finishing while the manga went on.

In here the same gang is still doing their thing, however the managers little sister comes into play as well. It's really kind of disturbing how she wants him as well, but I don't think they're related so that makes itr ok. (ya I think japanease writers have messed up morals to.)

The ending of the love hina series sadly. 8.8

Inuyasha
Ur average sword like shonun. It's about a demon reawakened after so many years by the reincarnated girl of the women who shot em with an arrow to make him sleep in the first place. His main goal as before he was betrayed, is to get a jewel that can make him into a full demon as he is only a half breed.

However weaker and much stronger demons alike seek the jewel at every turn, and he must cut through them all on his way to gather it. On their journey they run into others who's lives have been affected by the jewel and they all seek it, or the main demon who hunts after it for their own lifes goals.

It was an ok watch, with comedy, and ur average romance that never goes anywhere. But the ending was stupid. At least the manga ended. 7.4

Futurama
Sort of a cartoon anime. But I loved it none the less. It's about a guy, who's life is pretty much crap. Girlfriend has left him, job sucks, parents don't care, luck sucks, everything sucks. And so on new years while cracking open a beer at a delivery which was a prank phone call he ends up getting frozen and waking up in the year 3000.

Soon after he ends up going from one end of space to the other on deliveries, never really expecting to make it back alive and having a replacement crew on standby.

A pretty good show to check out.

Buso Renkin

An anime about a high school student who while walking home one day investigates a noise he hears. He arrives just in time to see a girl about to be killed by a humonculous and shoves her aside and dies himself. The girl brings him back to life and he begins life anew as an alchemist warrior.

This was a pretty good anime. Had some nice action fighting, a little bit of romance, a pretty good plot that kept climbing up to the end, and some comic relief so things didn't get to strung out.

Hand Maid May.

This was a nice little anime about a guy who is trying to create artificial life as he is an engineer and a programmer, And one day while falling for a trick because he's gullible accidentally orders a cyber doll named may.

However because it costs over 1 million US dollers (no idea how many yen that is) he can't pay for it and the company tries to take it back along with some other twists in the plot.

It was a fun watch. Had alot of comedy, and harem type romance. Only 11 episodes long.

Negima! spring and summer specials

Funamation recently released 2 specials in the negima! series.

As with the series these were mainly harem with a great deal of comedy thrown in. However we don't see negi blasting holes in anything or fighting off danger as the class is just on break. That's not to say their isn't any fan service though cause their is plenty.

They kept all the voice actors, though the artwork seemed a little different at times. They also gave bio's on all the characters. Can't wait for them to come out with season 2.

Ghost stories dub version

This is mainly a comedy anime that deals with kids who have the misfortune to run into ghosts all the time that want to kill them in one way or another, and so they must put them to sleep by sealing them up again.

In the dubbed version, the voices pretty much say what your normally thinking while watching a horror flick, as well as make fun of everyone and everything you could ever think of. Politics, religions of all shapes and sects, actors, radio talk show hosts, christian slayter gets bashed alot, and tons more.

It was pretty funny and kind of interesting to watch, but as it went on it kind of got that repetitive thing going. If it didn't have the cocky comments of the cast in dub, I probably would of got bored of it.

Which reminds me, 2 of the main characters are some of my favorite dubbers (and shocked me to see them in this kind of role) Chris patton as the smartass, pantyshoting boy next door, and Hillary Haag as the really loud and outspoken bitch of a girl that seals the ghosts.

Crayon Shin Chan (aka Shin Chan)

this is a very funny anime. about an immature 5 year old boy, who does stupid stuff all day. definitely would reccomend. also has a great ending song.

Lunar Legend Tsukihime

This was a very interesting plot that kept you in suspense for the better part of the series. It's about a boy who woke up one day in a hospital bed having lost his memory of anything before. But after his accident he sees through cursed eyes that show every line of death in objects and living things.

Draped in suspense with a past kept secret from him, and a past that comes back when he meets a girl in the park.

Karin

Resently just gave this anime a whirl, even though the thought of blood gushing out of a characters nose all the time sounded gross. (And man was their ALOT of blood)

Anyway all that sick stuff aside, this was a pretty good romance, school life kinda anime.

It's about this girl karin, who's an unvampire (she implants blood because it builds up in her, rather then sucking blood) who is different from her family because she walks in the day and whatnot, but can't really control her blood increase levels, so she's usually always in the sick bay at school. Then comes the new transfer student with wierd eyes who makes her blood levels rise even more because of her bloods affinity to him. (unhappiness)

Anyway long story short he sees her in the part biting people and at first thinks shes just a tramp because he thinks she's necking with all these different people including his mom, but finds out shes a vampire, and instead of erasing his memory, her mother and father give him the job of looking out for her during the day.

A nice comedy romance.
