What I reckon is we might get to see whats under that mask next week my reason for saying this is the next naruto film is due out next week and if its the same scenario but different they may show what is under the mask in the film too but after the manga (maybe)

Well, with all the promotion for the new Naruto movie aside, only a small crack on Tobi's mask was made this week. What can Naruto & co. do now to make some damage on the bad guy? Hopefully they come up with something fast.

I doubt it, & honestly, I hope Shippuden is where everything wraps up. I think Kishimoto himself said the Naruto manga is nearing its climax or something.

Well, Kakashi assumed Tobi here was Obito or something, before focusing on the battle yet again. And Naruto FINALLY lands a serious blow on the masked bastard. Hopefully we get to see his full face soon.

I was the one of people thinking tobi could be obito, but it doesn't make sense after seing them as kids when tobi attacked. if kishi actually pulls tobi as obito i will be disappointed.

Just going from Tobi's hair style, he really looks like the Uchiha that was with the 3rd Hokage in flash backs of the war before he became the 3rd Hokage. I believe that Uchiha was in his team?

Honestly though, think about it this way.... For what reason would someone who died (or if we're to believe it's Obito, nearly died) fighting for Konoha and his team mates, why would that guy (Obito) suddenly decide to destroy everything he held so dear simply because he nearly was killed in a war protecting his friends. That simply makes no sense. Obito has absolutely no motive. If he survived, he would have simply returned to Konoha. The only way it could be Obito, is if he somehow did survive and someone managed some kind of never seen before mind control jutsu that never ends after finding him wondering around lost. At the same time however, he still wouldn't fit with the fully grown equivalent in power to the 4th during the time the 9-tails attacked. If Obito is really the current Tobi, how the hell could he know the shit he does, and how would he have done stuff before the time he was even born? Remember, Tobi knew Nagato as a child. Nagato was a child during the previous war, in which Obito wasn't even born.

it could be same kind of jutsu that orochimaru used. obito could be just a vessel for someone that has managed to perfect what orochimarou could not. He may just be using the fact he is in obito's body to mess with kakashi and gain an edge on them.

Most of Orochimaru's jutsu were learned from forbidden scrolls in Konoha under the 3rd Hokage's nose because he didn't want to believe Orochimaru was a bad guy. Not really sure who else would have had access to such scrolls to learn his jutsu's and if Orochimaru would have taught someone and that someone managed to master it, I'm sure Orochimaru would have been able to figure it out as well, or that person would have been a gifted ninja in which Orochimaru would have wanted to take his body.

As for using Obito's body, I find myself asking why? Why use a half crushed and dying (or dead) Uchiha with only one eye and only a 2 tomoe at that. Someone who was a complete unknown genin that had only just activated the Sharingan before being crushed when he sacrificed himself to save his friends?

Anyway you look at it, either Obito being alive, being controlled, or having his body used... it simply does not add up and make sense. There would be absolutely no reason for Tobi to be Obito, and I don't think there is any plausible way Kishimoto could hope to write Tobi as Obito without creating all sorts of chaos and plotholes.

Many people have mentioned outright dropping the manga completely if something so ridiculous came to fruitition. In fact I've already had one friend tell me he dropped the manga because of this chapter that makes it seem like Kishimoto is about to pull the stupid plot hole ever.
